Custom Vulnerability Signature Operation Failed

L1 Bithead

Hey Guys,

Im trying to add this Pattern Match to Custom Vulnerability Signature and I get a Operation Failed.  Is there a better how to guide to this level?  I just see notes and misc.

-> signature -> standard -> LM-JavaScript -> and-condition -> And Condition 1 -> or-condition -> Or Condition 1 -> operator -> pattern-match -> pattern '.*((<[a-z])|(<[A-Z])|(<!))'

Thanks

The signature matching engine requires that each pattern have a 7-byte (consecutive) static string somewhere in the pattern.

I had gotten an 7-byte error before, but I change the pattern and now it just says Operation Failed.

What is the new pattern you have configured.  The pattern you are trying to match on earlier is not long enough and you will need to match on more characters to be able to get the commit to complete and the to correctly match the signature.
