The Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) market is growing tremendously, driven by the increasing demand for scalable, cloud-integrated cybersecurity solutions. Organizations are prioritizing advanced security measures to safeguard their distributed, cloud-centric operations. With AI and machine learning innovations and comprehensive cybersecurity frameworks, FWaaS is set to lead the next wave of adoption.

As always, Palo Alto Networks remains ahead of the curve, setting trends and delivering innovative solutions. Cloud NGFW for Azure is a natively integrated, cloud-native firewall solution that seamlessly integrates with the Microsoft Azure ecosystem. It simplifies infrastructure management and maintenance, allowing our customers to focus on what matters most: policy management and operational efficiency. With Cloud NGFW, availability and scalability are no longer the challenges—they’re built-in features.

A Journey of Rapid Adoption and Trusted Partnerships

Since its release in 2023, Cloud NGFW for Azure has become a trusted solution for organizations seeking robust, cloud-native security. Hybrid cloud customers, who manage both on-premises and Azure environments, continue to unlock the benefits of unified policy management through Panorama or the Strata Cloud Manager, supported by Precision AI-powered Cloud-Delivered Security Services.

At the same time, net-new customers are adopting Cloud NGFW for its seamless integration with native Azure services, simplifying their security operations and reducing complexity. These integrations allow them to align Cloud NGFW with their broader Azure-centric architectures easily.

For organizations operating in multi-cloud environments, Cloud NGFW delivers unmatched flexibility. With seamless credit fungibility between Azure and AWS deployments and unified platform policy management, customers achieve consistent security and operational efficiency across their cloud ecosystems.

This rapid adoption underscores Cloud NGFW's critical role in securing scale cloud environments. As the product evolves, we remain committed to actively listening to customer feedback through personal interactions, online channels, proof-of-concept evaluations, or customer reviews on G2. We aim to provide an unparalleled SaaS experience that exceeds customer expectations by prioritizing responsiveness and innovation.

  • Lower Deployment Costs: Hourly rates are dropping from $1.50/hour to $1.25/hour.
  • Simplified Traffic Pricing: Traffic charges have been drastically reduced, and tiered pricing has been eliminated.

This simplified pricing model eliminates tiered traffic pricing and significantly reduces costs across key dimensions. Customers can now confidently secure their cloud environments, knowing their budgets will stretch further to accommodate more security controls.

Empowering Our Customers with Flexibility and Value

For customers using Cloud NGFW credits, this update unlocks higher value:

  • Reduced credit consumption: For instance, operating an NGFW resource now requires fewer credits—104 credits instead of 125 for a deployment hour and 1.3 credits instead of 5.4 per GB of traffic.
  • More flexibility: Allocate savings toward additional resources or services, enhancing your security posture.

With credits remaining flexible across AWS and Azure environments, multi-cloud customers can continue to benefit from seamless credit management while leveraging our robust solutions across platforms.
