Ability to see Programming langauage version of deployed applications

L0 Member

I have a need :To audit which "applications" are approaching end of life based on their "programming language runtime version"

Does Cortex XDR provide a way to get an "inventory of all applications" with their "programming language runtime version's" ?

-The intent is to be able to know the application language versions of deployed applications to alert application owners to plan for the  needed upgrades before applications language versions are close to end of life.

- The need is also there to identify application owners, does the tool tap into any meta data of the owner base

Hello @tgeorgebabu ,

Thanks for reaching out on LiveCommunity!

In order to get information about application inventory, you need to have "Host Insight" add-on license. If you have the license then you can navigate to Incident Response -> Host Inventory -> Applications. This will open a table which contains applications along with their versions. This will also show their vulnerabilities with CVE numbers.

You can also query "host_inventory_applications" preset to query application specific details like installation details, version or version etc. Unfortunately , XDR cannot provide you details about the application owner.
