File search and destroy

L3 Networker

Hello,

In some cases, when we try to delete files using hash/path, file deletion fails due to "Access Denied".

What could be the reason for the deletion failure?

Hello @RamyashreeMada

Thank you for reaching out to the live community. I understand that you are unable to delete some of the files and are getting access denied error. This could be the result if the files are in protected folders or does not provide the permissions to be acted upon even with elevated permissions. Or it depends on the nature of the file if they are core to the System functioning.

In such situations, I believe that you are not able to delete such files manually, you might have to boot the device in safe mode to delete such file. Thank you.
