Growth of ARM processors in Windows Ecosystem

With the continual growth and development of ARM in the windows sector there is a clear demand for a Cortex XDR Agent for Windows on ARM. This also impacts virtualisation on Macs and other devices with ARM processors.

Is there an roadmap for consideration for this moving forwards?

Thanks for reaching out on LiveCommunity.

As of now we support ARM for few linux builds like AWS Graviton etc. We may cover other builds and operating systems in future. Unfortunately we do not have a timeline as of now.

Ashutosh of Palo Alto said Cortex XDR support for Windows ARM is under development with a beta version expected in summer 2024 (12 Jun, 2024), do you have any update on it?

We've already developed an XDR agent for Windows on ARM. It is currently in beta for selected customers and once the beta is successfully completed, we will start to let all other customers use the agent as well.

It's important to mention that we aim for a quick release but we don't have a concrete timeline yet, as we need to understand that it would provide the value that users are expecting.

Last update I saw was a June 2024 release date, any updates on the status of the beta? We are required to use ARM devices as part of our customer support system and would love to get Cortex and GP installed on them asap.

Me too, we are testing Surface Pros for my cooworker, but as long as Cortex XDR is not installable on this type of processor, I cannot deploy these PCs, because on our network, GlobalProtect checks if Cortex is installed to access the company's resources.
While GlobalProtect has been compatible on Windows ARM for a long time!

Any news on a date for this Windows ARM compatible release?
