Hello Experts,
I noticed there's two versions of XDR 3.x and 4.x, Mine is running 3.x. noticed that's quite lot of changes (in UI) for 4.x.
1) will my XDR be upgraded to 4.x eventually?
2) when?
3) what is the purpse of running both version?
4) is 4.x used for something related to Cortex Cloud? Posture Mgt? runtime security?
thanks

Hi SeanDeHarris,
Please check in the following doc the features of the current XDR release:
https://docs-cortex.paloaltonetworks.com/r/Cortex-XDR/Cortex-XDR-Release-Notes/Release-Information
For XDR release 4.1 please check the doc, you will see new features and capabilities:
Tenants are automatically upgraded to next release when PANW has the new release tested and ready to be rolled out, You will receive an email informing of such event and release notes
All our XDR new releases are incorporating more and more Cloud features (since some releases ago) and functions to improve security posture of organizations. Please read the documents above and you will realize about new features in the next relase of XDR.

Hi again SeanDeHarris,
The last Cortex XDR release is v3.14, which is the one described on the link given before
https://docs-cortex.paloaltonetworks.com/r/Cortex-XDR/Cortex-XDR-Release-Notes/Release-Information
Often we deliver quarterly releases, but is not exact, this can be delayed or put forward depending on needs and circumstances.
I hope this answers all your questions in a more detailed way.
