conversionupdates site is getting Read Error - Connection Reset by Peer

L2 Linker

Installed Ubuntu 16.0.4 - installer package expeditionInstaller.tgz in tmp folder

run the .sh installer after chmoding

installer runs

installer gets to the point of trying to contact https://conversionupdates.paloaltonetworks[.]com/ex-repo[.]gpg

Shows connected over 443 and then read error occurs and it just keeps retrying - this device has access to the internet and is not being blocked by our firewalls (checkpoint, boo, i know).

What am I missing? Certs? no HTTPS inspection is occurring that's for sure.

Warmly - get me off Checkpoints

Expedition1 only support Ubuntu 20.04.x, not 16.x

yes that's correct  - I've tried 20.04.6 with the same error about connection reset to the https://conversionupdates.paloaltonetworks[.]com

this website does not work on any computer i've tried in my home network / business network

it's strange.

each time it returns get connection reset.

the url from PAGE 13 of the install manual does not work. Connection Reset by Peer no matter where the link is used - on the network at home / on the office network -

UPDATE: i re-installed 20.04.6 - followed the guide that's linked in the reply - and the server is still getting this connection reset by peer issue - it's not a firewall issue on the servers end. it's not an issue with internet connection - becuase again - the server is able to apt-get packages and install them
