Fuel has two new resources available to support our growing Fuel User Group! Whether you're a chapter leader, a regular attendee, or someone curious about getting more involved, these documents are designed to foster transparency, inclusion, and shared responsibility across the community.

Understanding the Role of a Chapter Leader

Have you ever wondered what goes into leading a user group chapter? The Role of a Chapter Leader resource is an overview is for everyone — members and chapter leaders alike — that offers a clear picture of what chapter leaders do and how they contribute to the success of our community.

In this brief document, you will learn:

  • The key responsibilities of chapter leaders, from planning events to welcoming new members
  • How leaders create inclusive, engaging spaces for learning and connection
  • The collaborative nature of leadership
  • Ways members can support or even step into leadership roles themselves

Whether you are thinking about becoming a leader, already volunteering, or just want to better understand how your chapter runs, this document is a great place to start.

Fuel Code of Conduct

A respectful, inclusive environment is essential to the health of any community. Our new Code of Conduct outlines the values and expectations that apply to everyone in the user group, from first-time attendees to longtime leaders.

This one-page document includes:

  • Our shared commitment to respectful and welcoming behavior
  • A zero-tolerance policy for harassment and discrimination
  • Steps for reporting issues and accessing support

The Code of Conduct is also available in a printable, one-page PDF which is attached to the Code of Conduct page in the Fuel Resources area. Leaders are encouraged to display the Code of Conduct at events, include it in registration materials, or reference it during opening remarks.
