Address Issue [20191]

L0 Member

Hi, support team.

There is the following note on the release note of PANOS3.1.2:

- Address Issue :  [20191]System instability may occur in deployments using the Terminal Services Agent to

identify users.

I would like to know that more specific.

Thank you,

Tomoyuki Komure

The bug was in the PANOS not the TS agent itself, so there is no new agent software.

Our engineers determined the following problem with the TSA agent code and fixed it in 3.1.2:
When a second port block is added for a user, the user record is added to the hash table twice.   When the user logs off, the user record isn't  removed from the hash table, but the user record link list pointer is empty. . Later, if another user logs in and this user gets hashed to the same hash table entry, the hash locating function will crash due to enumerating the link list with an empty pointer.

Hello nrice,

Thank you for explaining it.

There was the problems with TSA code and PANOS,

but the fixed TSA isn't released on the support page.

Did you address only PANOS?

Don't we need to update the TSA?
