Heylo.. any chance of having the PAN firewall (not Panorama) do automatic backup of configurations as per time/date settings?
I am now having customers asking me if PAN have this somewhere down the line being implemented on the firewall.
Cheers..

I am not aware of any such plans. You should consult with your Sales Engineer for roadmap type of questions. However, what you are requesting should be easy to do by running a cron job on a server and scripting the "show config running" output to a filename. There should be many such examples on the Internet.

Hello,
Richard, I think the forum is a also good place to listen for the customer request.
My customers also asked me this feature.
By the way, Checkpoint support it...
Regards,

What about snmp traps when someone is commiting a configuration?
Because they you could script the configserver to fetch the config when snmp trap is received.

All the points mentioned above have considered and were conveyed to my customers.. but they feel that PAN (which provides a lot of granularity and ease of using a firewall) should be thinking of this option.
Cheers..
