Any known problems with 5.09 on PA500?

I´m still on 5.05 on my PA500.

Are there any known problems with 5.09 or is it safe to update?

Hello kbe,

5.0.9 OS is in its nascent stage, so we are yet to discover any critical issues from it.

However there is list (page 77-79) of known issues you can go through before upgrade:

PAN-OS-5.0.9-RN-revA.pdf

Checked internal database for any existing major or critical bugs for 5.0.9 - didn't find any.
