Hello,
Managment plane stops responding when sending a number of User-ID XML API calls to FW (tried using PAN-OS 7.1.5 and 8.0).
Any API calls during this time either time-out or return 502/504 HTTP responses.
After close to exactly 5 minutes later from when WebUI became unresponsive, it will start responding again as per usual.
Logs show error:
*134018 upstream timed out (110: Connection timed out) while connecting to upstream
*134008 recv() failed (104: Connection reset by peer) while reading response header from upstream
Any help on this would be appreciated.

what kind of platform are you using and approx how many api calls are you launching against it's management plane ?
you might be flood-attacking the management interface 😉

using Node.js on Windows and averages around 2-3 calls/per second.
