Hi
The release cycle of the maintenance updates is about 6 weeks.
If you want to actively track when a new maintenance release is made available, you can subscribe (from the Article Options) to these articles which are updated the moment a new maintenance release is made public:
Software Release Notices: PAN-OS 7.0.x
Software Release Notices: PAN-OS 6.1.x
Software Release Notices: PAN-OS 6.0.x
There is currently no automated way to install an operating system, as it requires a reboot so mostly would require a maintenance window when the operation can be completed.
If you would like to have this feature considered, you can get in touch with your sales contact who can create a feature request or add your vote to an existing feature request if other customers have requested this feature also
hope this helps

When new release comes out then you can install it any time.
It will boot to new software after reboot.
So you can schedule reboot with API for example.
