Automated backups from Panorama

L2 Linker

Hi Guys

I have a HA FW Palo Alto, which are managed by a PANORAMA.

Is it possible to do the automated task, to send a BACKUP of the FW configuration, on a daily basis, but from the PANORAMA?

The best option in this scenario, in your experience, is to send the backups from the same FW? Or is it better to do the configuration only from the PANORAMA?

How can we achieve this BACKUPS activity in the PA environments?

Thanks for your comments.

@Matlu_NN Every time you execute a commit from Panorama to the firewalls Panorama already creates a config backup.  In the managed devices  section of the "Panorama" tab, should be all the way to the right there's a link of sorts that you can click on which will show you the last 100 configs (I think it's 100) which have been archived.

Hi, Buddy.

The goal is to be able to export the BACKUP of the configuration to an external server either by FTP or SFTP.
What we want is that this task is done daily at 2am, but what we want to be clear, is what would be the most “recommended” option, whether to do this task only from the PANORAMA, or do it from the FW?

In any of the 2 cases, is this objective possible?
Export the config by a BACKUP to an external server?

Thanks
