BGP RIB-out prefix

L0 Member

I've setup bgp with this guide(for active/passive configuration):

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/docs/DOC-1572

I needed to prioritize one ISP so I changed configuration with this guide:

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/docs/DOC-1573

and

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/docs/DOC-1574

The problem now is, I don't see any RIB-out prefixes and my ISP peer is not getting them either.

Help needed.

Hi,

The route which you want in the RIB-out is it existing in the route table? The route which you want to advertise out via BGP needs to have been learned either via a IGP routing protocol or a IBGP update from your own AS.

Hope this helps.

Thanks

Hi.

I'm using ebgp. Ca you manually enter the route anywhere. I thought it was enetered in network\virtual-router\default\bgp\export rules ??

If the route on the advertising PAN is learned via IGP and you want to advertise the IGP route to EBGP, in this case you will have to use the redistribution rule. Please choose the route you would like to advertise in the redistribution rule and set the values you would like to have for that redistributed route.

Hope this helps.

Thanks
