Command related inquiries(debug device-server dump pan-url-db statistics)

L3 Networker

Dear Team,

I would like to know what the output value of the command "debug device-server dump pan-url-db statistics" means.

I checked the output as below when executing the command in my LAB.

If there is any link or explanation that I can refer to in relation to the above command, please advise me.

Thanks in advance,
Kyungjun,

Hi @CHOE-KyungJun ,

It looks like the command you entered provides details of the URL-Filtering DB statistics. The output shows the number of URLs processed by the PAN-DB URL database & the Cloud DB that I assume are sources like Unit 42, WildFire, passive DNS, Palo Alto Networks telemetry data, and data from the Cyber Threat Alliance.

The aynchronous URL requests are requests that are processed in the DB while the users are still able to access the site unless a denied category is discovered. After that, it looks like there are details on the URL database sharding. Showing the number of URLs in each shard that is distributed to the DB for processing.

Hope this helps.
