Configured PA-220 for home network, submitted a commit, and I am stuck!

L0 Member

Hello,

I followed these instructions:

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/Configuration-Articles/Setting-Up-the-PA-200-for-Home-and-Small...

At the end when I tried to commit it, I ran into virtual wire issues. So I took care of that problem and was able to commit the changes.

However, even though my devices were able to connect to the router, and it showed up on the Web-UI that they were being assigned IP address, they still have no internet access.

Can someone, anyone help me understand what the issue is?

I will attach screenshots if necessary.

are your clients getting a default gateway?

are you seeing connections in the logs and are they allowed

is NAT set up and being applied (this can be seen by adjusting the tables in the traffic log, and in the session browser)?

are you sure the ISP is allowing you access to the internet

if all the above are true, could you add some screenshots/logs ?

I will add one more:

If the untrust interface is configured for DHCP, is it actually obtaining an IP address?
