Hello
I tried to configure on CLI using 2bytes Asian charset as below.
As you see below when I configure 2bytes Asiasn charset to description column and then PAN showed error message is Server error : Malformed Request.
So I questioned weather PAN could be configured using Asian charset on CLI or not.
admin@PA1(active)# set rulebase security rules rule1 description 2013
[edit]
admin@PA1(active)# set rulebase security rules rule1 description 20130410_db
[edit]
admin@PA1(active)# set rulebase security rules rule1 description 20130410_db_아무개
Server error : Malformed Request
[edit]
admin@PA1(active)# set rulebase security rules rule1 description "20130410_db_아무개_1st"
Server error : Malformed Request
Thanks.

Please try it 5.0.4. There's one fix regarding this.
Here's the description in 5.0.4 release note:
"47217—Command line interface would not accept input in languages that use a 2-byte character set such as Japanese or Chinese in UTF-8. Issue has been resolved with this release."

Hi KC,
You have to enable the scripting mode as below
> set cli scripting-mode on
> configure
# set shared address korea-good description "노재웅짱짱맨"
It is working as I expected
Thanks.
Regards,
Roh
