Device Telemetry Upload failed reason Server not reachable.

L4 Transporter

Hi,

In our firewall the device telemetry upload is getting failed, the reason showing is server not reachable.

But there is no traffic logs for the application "paloalto-device-telemetry". But the dynamic updates are working fine,

The model : PA-850-ZTP,

PAN-OS: 10.1.1

@SubaMuthuram,

PAN-OS 10.1.1 is pretty early in that code branch, while I'm not recalling a direct issue off the top of my head that would correlate to what you're seeing, I'd think about upgrading regardless.

As for the issue at hand, if you aren't able to resolve the host then you wouldn't see the traffic in the logs. Since dynamic updates don't pull from the same domain, can you see if you can resolve br-prd1.us.cdl.paloaltonetworks.com on the firewall? While this is specific to the United States and isn't exactly where your telemetry would be going, it at least verifies that resolution is working properly.

@BPry ,

The domain br-prd1.us.cdl.paloaltonetworks.com is resolving and able to ping but we are unable to see any traffic in the firewall.
