Hi,
Is it possible to configure a DHCP server running on the PA-500 to automatically update the records in a DNS server that is separate from the PA-500?
Ideally, I would like to have the DHCP server dynamically update DNS records with the DHCP client computers’ information whenever the DHCP server assigns the IP address.
Thank you in advance for your help!

Palo Alto cannot do this.
But if you run a windows domain DNS server and windows domain clients, you can have the client update the record automatically.

I know this isn't a Palo question but can you ellaborate on having the clients update the DNS record automatically? We are currently having issues with our DNS server not having updated A record/PTR records.

I would be interested in any Windows DNS helpful hints as well. Having issues with GP connected clients not being able to set PTR records when other clients have recently been on the same VPN client IP. Not a PaloAlto problem... but looking for any way to fix/mitigate windows DNS issues.
