Hello.
I'm new in PAN
To discard the candidate configuration changes, is it the same "Revert to running config" and "Load named config snapshot runningconfig.xml"?
Thanks
Luis

"Revert to Running Configuration" will help as you mentioned to discard current changes. Load named config will be applicable only if you have saved a named config or you want to revert to an older named config that you saved.

Though I do believe configuration snapshot "running-config.xml" is the equivalent of the actual running config. So I do suspect both methods would work .. but the first is the more correct method.. at least from the GUI.
From the commandline loading from "running-config.xml" is the only way I know of to discard the current candidate.
e.g
# configure
# load config from running-config.xml
