DNS Proxy question

Hi All,

I'm working to configure the PAN (4.1.2) DNS proxy, hopefully to replace the legacy slave dns server.

But the adminsitrative guide is good enough to understand to configure it.

I'm having hard time getting it to work as desire.

Would I able to forward DNS queries to other both external(Internet) and Internal DNS servers on domain?

Hi...Yes, the PA device can act as a DNS proxy and forward DNS requests to the primary/secondary DNS servers.  You can also create DNS Proxy Rules to define which DNS server to contact when a domain matches.  The PA device will need a layer3 interface with an IP address to act as the DNS proxy, and your users will point to this IP address as the DNS server.
