Hi - is it possible to do ECMP (equal cost multi-path routing) using static routes? If not - is it possible to achieve ECMP using OSPF on the PA4050. We have a need to load balance the default route out of a PA4050 over multiple L3 gig interfaces (the customers current solution support ECMP with static routes). Many thanks.

The Pan will not be able to do ECMP or any type of load balancing. You can route specfic type of traffics to different default routes but there is not current solution to load balance between two paths.

Is ECMP on the roadmap or is it highly unlikely that it will show up with current hardware models (200, 500, 2000, 4000 and 5000 series)?

Hi...Maybe you can look into running BGP to split your traffic, or employ PBF to send traffic among the 3 paths. Here's a thread on using PBF:

Thanks.

Best to talk to your TAM or SE to submit a feature request, I am hoping if there are enough interests. They will implement it.
