Getting validation error when pushing changes from Panorama to firewall

L2 Linker

We are trying to push device group configuration to the managed firewalls but validation itself failing.

It throws the error as application status -> rockwell-factorytalk-viewpoint 'rockwell-factorytalk-viewpoint' is already in use.

Anyone experience the similar issue?

Any suggestions and help are highly appreciated

@Kathiravan_R,

If you export the configuration and look at the XML do you see any additional reference to the listed application in the error?

Hi, firstly, make sure Panorama and firewall's dynamic updates are up to date and the same version. Maybe it could be overrided application or maybe related with duplicated application-tag. Did you see any differance between firewall and Panorama?

Since I found this post at the top of Google's results, I want to add that I found the solution for this issue in the following Knowledgebase content:

In my situation, I had several hundred apps to enable on the Panorama. Once I enabled the apps, I could push changes to my firewalls. Make sure that if you have dynamic updates scheduled for automatic installation then you should set them to be enabled by default on the Panorama.
