Global Protect and no Source User Identified

L2 Linker

I have a user with Windows 7 and Global Protect who couldn't get to an internal web site. When I went to look in Monitor/Logs/Traffic I could see that the Source User field was blank and therefore not hitting the anticipated allow policies. He says it's a corporate laptop. Any other common issue that would prevent the domain/user ID from being recognized? Thank you.

I assume this is only an issue for 1 user and you can see other GP users allowed access via source user......

please confirm...

check the logs for thier user id to see if they has ever been recognised.

if not then you may need to trigger some domain activity on logon, but if you see it now and again you may need to increase user id timeout.

Interesting. It appears to be intermittent as today I can see the user is logged in and their Source User domain and username are being picked up. Thanks much.

OK but if it if it keeps happening then increase your "user identification timeout" to 240 mins
