I have some doubts regarding the application of GlobalProtect VPN, which is mandatory in my work.
I have a few questions and would love to hear the community's answers regarding the below.
I'm in Ireland and I would like to work outside the country for a few days. I have been contacting a VPN provider to provide me with a device (router) that connects me to a VPN server via its VPN client (all of the traffic on the network will be covered by the VPN) where this router will position me geologically in Ireland, and all devices connected to it will have their IP in Ireland.
Anyway, my computer is always connected to the GlobalProtect VPN, so I would like to know if it would be possible for me to connect my computer (with GlobalProtect active) and this router without causing problems. Also, even being in another country in the European Union, GlobalProtect VPN would not interfere with the computer's locator and would not disturb the location of the VPN router.

It sounds like you're trying to bypass restrictions put into place by your organization instead of asking, or having already been denied, an exception to work outside of your home country. I have to caution that this is something that some organizations, including a lot of those that I work with, actively hunt for and identification of this activity would lead to immediate termination.
I've seen people use VPN capable routers thinking they're going to be smart, but we catch them all the same because they're coming from some sort of cloud provider's IPs. We see this kind of stuff all the time, and if your organization is investing time and resources into identification it's not hard to identify if you're looking for it. You're also putting a whole lot of trust that everything will actually function properly.
Ask for the exception, see if it's acceptable for the organization, and don't risk your job.

I would not recommend this. There could be compliance implications with your company utilizing a split tunnel. Also from my experience, You cannot connect to two VPN connections at the same time. Would love to know if someone has been able to however.
