GlobalProtect Max tunnel count ?

L0 Member

Hi

I'm doing a global protection test.

And we created the External Gateway and the Internal Gateway.

And for the Internal Gateway, we didn't set up the Tunnel.

If so, wouldn't it count to the Globalprotect Max tunnel provided by the equipment?

In case of External Gateway, I think it will be applied to the count because it uses Tunnel.

However, I don't think it will count on Max tunnel because I didn't set the tunnel when I use the Internal Gateway. However, in "show global-protect-gateway statistics", the current user also has an internal user count.

I wonder if the internal gateway session without the tunnel setup is applied to Max Tunnel.

Thank you.

I tend to agree with you. If a tunnel is not being used for Internal, it would not apply against the max tunnels.

Thanks

@S.Cantwell

Hello

Thank you for your answer!

Then, it won't affect the External Gateway because it won't be applied to the Max Tunnel provided by the equipment, will it?

Thank you!

Hello again

Is there a big concern that you will be hitting the maximum amount of tunnels at any one particular time?

If a tunnel is not created externally, then, per my original response, I agreed with you.
