GP Client on MACs does not always detect internal network

L0 Member

We have an issue that seems to be impacting our MAC users only.  They connect to an internal wireless network, but the GP client does not detect that they are on the internal network.  (We're using the always-on feature.)  We've reduced the timeout to 1 minute, but even then and with a manual refresh, the client still seems to think it's on an external network.  We have verified that dns is working properly and that the client can resolve the gateway hostname and reach it.  We've tried removing and reinstalling the client, removing and reinstalling enforcer, among other things.

Any ideas?  Anyone else experiencing this?  We were not having any of these issues until about 3 weeks ago, not long after upgrading Panorama to 8.1.8.  We have an open support case, but not making much traction there.

Thank you!

@ktunkel,

So the first things that I would check would be the following, but it would also be handy to know what GP version you are deploying.

1) Can your Mac clients do a reverse lookup of the internal host detection host?

2) Are you passing a valid search domain within your DHCP options for your Mac clients?
