HA2 Question

L1 Bithead

If HA1 is going through switches, can HSCI still be used or should HA2 be used?  The firewalls are racked next to each other.

@rlambright,

If your firewalls are right next to each other, why are you passing HA1 through a switch? That decision seems really odd if you don't have geographically dispersed HA peers.

You can continue to utilize HSCI as your HA2 interface transport, there's nothing that would prevent you from keeping the HSCI as HA2 directly connected as I'm assuming you have them now.

it's not my call, the higher ups want a switch before each firewall. so HA1 has to go through these lagged switches so that if a switch goes bad it will failover.
