Having problems with the Palo Alto API with vm_eval 10.0.4

L2 Linker

I'm trying to make API calls.  Using XML pathing it works fine.

'/api/?type=config&action=get&xpath=/config/devices/entry[@name="localhost.localdomain"]/vsys/entry[@name="vsys1"]/rulebase/security/rules'

So actually I had 2 questions.
Is there a difference in functionality between the rest api calls and the xml pathing api calls? I'm assuming they both read xml data, sdo there is no real difference?

Secondly when making API calls via restapi,  I used the thew web browser APi documentation, and it gave me the below to make a restapi call.

http://**********/restapi/v10.0/Objects/Addresses
however I get this error:
{"code":16,"message":"Not Authenticated","details":[{"@type":"CauseInfo","causes":[{"code":1,"module":"panui_auth","description":"Not Authenticated"}]}]}

I'm not sure if someone could shed light on this for me to fix it?
