How to Convert Device Specific objects into Shared

L0 Member

Hi everyone,

Hope everyone is doing Great.

I have one question regarding the shared objects and here is the problem I am facing.

I am trying to find the best way to convert device specific objects(addresses, services, tags) into shared objects. I was using Expedition to convert around 9300 objects into shared with the help of multi edit feature. The problem with this approach is when I try to generate an XML file after they are converted to shared, it's removing the unused objects automatically and keeping only the used objects. But, we want the unused objects too as they will be used on other devices after they converted to shared. Can you guys think of any better way of doing this or any other suggestions if you have done it already.

Best regards, Nagarjuna

you can 'move' objects from single vsys to shared (unselect predefined objects)
