How to Deploy Scripts Using Msiexec

L1 Bithead

I want to know how to create a custom MSI or MSIEXEC script to install the VPN client and set up and run a log on script to map to network shares then remove the drives on diconnect... I am told it is possible but I cannot find any how to's on it.

I have Orca and have edited the msi installer to include my portal information. and I have go as far as a script creating the registry entries. I just cannot seem to get it to launch my bat files, or any exe using the examples in this link: https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/documentation/80/globalprotect/globalprotect-admin-guide/globalprot...

Please Help!!!

Yes and I was able to get it to work thought thanks. I found I had to have a hosted and local bat file in a specific location and run the processes I needed to run. I was alos able to run a bat file installer to make all the needed registry entries and run after install to make sure it worked.

I would liek something more seemless as this will require some, although very basic, knowledge on getting to a command line and coping and pasting, or saving a file to specified location.

A combination of the Links below was most helpful in making my bat script:
