How to Manage External Users via UIA/PAN

If the organization has Users who are contractors/sub-contractors (deskless workers); how can you manage these Users via the PAN if they are not members of the Domain?

Would AD deskless worker objects need to be created AD-side for them to be prompted by Captive Portal, or is there a workaround to this practice?

Thanks,

Rob

Captive portal is specifically made to identify users that are not logge into your domain, you will also need to authenticate these users using radius, ldap or local database.

You would have to setup Captive Portal policy and a RADIUS server to get this to work. You could point the RADIUS server at AD to use their AD credentials.

Are you saying that these users don't have AD credentials? If not then would you rather manage these users using a generic AD account? Or would it be easier to manage them using a local DB on the PAN?  All of which are pretty easy to do on the PAN depending on what you're looking for on the backend.
