Inbound server failover between two ISP's

L0 Member

Hi All,

I have a PA-2050 setup with two IPS's.  One is primary, and if that goes down, the secondary takes over.  This has been tested and it works great.

There are three servers that recieve incoming traffic.  They have been setup to use the primary ISP IP addresses for access.  All works fine there also.

What I would like to do is to addtionally setup these servers on the secondary ISP, with thier IPs and use a dynamic DNS service (DYN.com) for the incoming failover.

So the question, how can this be done, I would think that the NAT would be confused.

Regards,

-john

Hi John

You can add an additional IP to the server and have the secondary NAT set up to this address.

Make sure to have only the first address handled by PBF so the secondary will follow the default route out the secondary ISP.

regards

Tom
