Install problem

L2 Linker

Hello -

We are new to MineMeld, we are following the install process given here: https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/MineMeld-Articles/Running-MineMeld-on-VMWare-desktop/ta-p/72038

At step 6 the initalization process fails with the message 'ERROR INSTALLING MINEMELD, PLEASE CHECK /var/log/minemeld-auto-update.log FOR DETAILS' however we don't have the log file in the directory mentioned.

Can anyone one advise please ?

Thanks.

Hi Team,

I am trying to install Minemeld on a ESXI but this being a new server was not having internet conenctivity from start. We finished the installation booted the machines and configured proxy and other stuff to provide internet access to the system. Once internet was availabable we mounted the Minemeld ISO (by attaching it in CD-rom) and restarted the machine. Post reboot we are not able to login with the ubuntu\rsplizardspock credentials.. it's giving authentication error.

Please assist.

Hi @Immi007,

to install MineMeld Internet Connectivity is needed. My suggestion is to create VM based on Ubuntu 14.04 with Internet Connectivity and install MineMeld following the instructions at https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/MineMeld-Articles/Manually-install-MineMeld-on-Ubuntu-Server-14...
