Is it possible to access User-ID with different ids?

L3 Networker

Hello,

I have a customer wanting to use multiple ids such as bobsmith, bobs@yahoo.com and bsmith@paloaltontworks.com.

I have yet to find documentatation supporting this.  Is it possible?  If so how?  Thank you.

@tsanger,

Multiple formats is actually a feature of PAN-OS 8.1, which I wouldn't deploy to production equipment at this time. You can find more information on that at this LINK

@tsanger,

Like he wants to map multiple different user-ids to the same IP address from the firewalls perspective? I'm not sure that this is going to be possible. To the best of my knowledge as soon as the alternate user-id is picked up (bobs@yahoo.com), it would remove the mapping for bobsmith and simply move it to bobs@yahoo.com.

I'm not sure if you could actually get user-id to maintain multiple different mappings for the same IP.

Thank you very much BPry.

Hello,

We all know our user community his reply is

Not to the same IP.

I am curious if it will match “zlohrenz” and “ocu\zlohrenz” and zlohrenz@okcu.edu<mailto:zlohrenz@okcu.edu> and zlohrenz@my.okcu.edu<mailto:zlohrenz@my.okcu.edu> etc as all being the same credential.

Is this possible?  Thank you.
