Is it possible to create a custom report that mimics Browsing Summary by Website in a User Activity Report?

L0 Member

Community,

I'm trying to create a custom report that mimics the browsing summary available under the user activity report but the custom report does not group results the same way. For example, if I have a user visit multiple news stories at www.nbcnews.com, each page will count toward the main URL link of www.nbcnews.com in the user activity report. However, when I run a custom report asking for the same information, it lists each story as a different URL, such as www.nbcnews.com/id/# where # equals a different story. Is there anyway I can group the /id addresses into a single URL listing in a custom report?

Additional Info:

I'm not interested in grouping sub domains, such as *.nbcnews.com into a single listing, nor am I am interested in customizing the report for only one URL as I don't want to be creating custom reports for every site. I ideally would like a single custom report that groups results like it does in the user activity report. Right now my only option seems to be to export the report into CSV and create a custom macro to filter the results accordingly.

This is not possible for now except your solution. But you can use custom url category to group them as a category. For example you can create a custom url category named story and put all links into that. That will give you a chance to take a report for that category only.
