Is it possible to have crowdstrike falcon agent installed on the paloalto vm machine

No, you cannot.

You need to look at PanOS VM as virtual appliance which means you cannot install any third-party software to it. Yes it is UNIX-like/Linux based OS, but it is hardened and limited shell access.

 

 

 

an you go more in depth as to the reason why no security products? I do understand majority of EDR products are resource hogs however CrowdStrike does not fall into htat bucket. 

This comment "It hardened OS, which should not be threat as endpoint" if interpreted as your VM cannot be compromised feels like a comment by someone that is behind the 2 wall barrier for cybersecurity and just doesn't understand cyber security.

 

IF Palo Alto stand behind this can you please share Palo Alto's Ironclad guarantee where if any Palo Alto VM is compromised and/or used in an attack, Palo Alto with pay for any and all damages and loss of profits.
