Layer 2 sub interface with vlan is not working

L0 Member

Hi all,

I am trying to configure palto interface in layer 2 mode as trunk and Vlan interface as SVI.

Interface             interface type             IP address              Tag                Vlan         Sucurity zone

ethernet 1/10      layer2                         none                       none              none        Mgmt-Trust-L2

I need two vlans 100, 101 on this interface.

I am trying with 100 vlan first so I added

Interface               interface type             IP address              Tag                Vlan         Sucurity zone

ethernet 1/10.100  layer2                        none                       100               Vlan-100  Mgmt-Trust-L2

Vlan-100 has vlan interface vlan.100

vlan.100 I have defined as interface name vlan.100 with IP address 192.168.100.1. Virtual router default, Security zone Mgmt-Trust-L3

Port ethernet1/10 has trunk port connected with 100,101 Cisco but I am unable to reach to 192.168.100.1

what am I doing wrong?

If I have assign vlan interface directly onto ethernet1/10 it works but then I cannot add another vlan interface there.

did you add a management profile to the vlan interface so you're allowed to ping it (and set a security rule to allow it)
