OID for Subinterfaces

L3 Networker

I am looking for an OID to monitor subinterface details on a PAN-4050. I have several lists of supported OIDs that cover everything else that I need except for this. We are using Orion to monitor these appliances.

I have just verified that sub-interfaces are not part of the existing 4.0 SNMP MIB.

If this feature enhancement is important to you then you should definitely contact your Palo Alto Sales team and make sure that they understand the feature request and why it is important to you/your customers.

Here is the PAN supported OID List;

When I last checked there was not a subinterface OID in the SNMP MIB for 3.1.X PANOS.

If you wish to see this added you would need to submit a feature request to your Palo Alto Networks sales team.

Can you please confirm? This is really important to one of my customers. If it is indeed not avalible, may it be avalible in 4.0? Thanks,

That seems weird that it wouldn't be included, as every other manufacturer includes it.

I agree, both tagged interfaces and ipsec/ike status for each tunnel as well as interface IP's are things I'd like to be able to poll.

Hello,

Can someone confirm that there has been a request submitted @PaloAlto , or that the problem is solved in the meantime?

It would be very usefull to poll al the subinterfaces.

Please let me know Smiley Happy

Thanks a lot
