Hi All,
On device in policies not showing user names under the source user tab, but in user-id agent we are able to see ip to user mapping. PaloAlto device is connected to machine on which user-id agent has been installed. Is there any other configuration is required to get user names in policies ? Please help me.
Regards,
Guru

Verify the LDAP configuration of your PA-box.
Userid-agent is to get the ip <-> userid mapping, LDAP is used to setup security policies (knowing which userid's and groups are available).

Hello,
LDAP configuration is not required if you're not using usergroup in the policies.
We had the same problem (on time) with a PA-500.
We upgraded to the last version of the PAN agent and PANOS 4.1.8.
Problem solved...

HA

Not sure if you already got your question answered, but another thing to check is under Network Tab... Select Zones and make sure the Enable User ID box is checked.
Commit and check logs again.
If you already got your answer then my apologies.
