I am creating a template interface with several subinterfaces. IP is handled by a variable. What I am attempting to do is to override the template setting so I can add the zone in the Stack and not in the Template. This way I can create a global zone template that can be used on my stack interfaces. Here is the problem. When I override a subinterface, it deletes every other subinterface in the stack. See below.
Template
Stack before override
Stack after override

This appears to be fixed in 9.0.1! I don't know about 9.0 as I skipped it during the upgrade from 8.1.7. I sure hope this gets fixed in the 8.1 code train as I'm not ready to run my PROD environment on 9.0 yet.

(Unfortunately) if you override a sub interface in a template stack the whole interface will be overridden and everything configured on this physical interface will be deleted and only the configuration in the stack is applied - this means you cannot override a single sub interface...

My problem is that I can only override a single subinterface. The rest get deleted in terms of the stack. I have a ticket open and it sounds like this is a known issue. I will update this thread once I get confirmation. If this doesn't work, it defeats the purpose of having stack overrides if you have more than 1 subinterface (kinda the point of subinterfaces).

So far I thought this is a limitation and not an issue ... great if there is a chance that this will be fixed (without a feature request)

It seems that this has yet to be fixed even in 8.1.12
