PA-5000 Series Disk hot swap?

L3 Networker

Hello~~

I am very curious,,

It is simple question

as far as we know, PA-5000 Series can install RAID 1 Disk

If PA failed either disks

Can PA continue logging another disk?

If so

When failed disk exchange, Does have to reboot PA?

I am extremely confused now

I had not found document on Support Site yet

Would someone like to find document?

PA will continue logging to the second disk if the first one fails.

Please refer the following document which talks about upgrade/swap procedure:-

Thank you for your answer

I have more question~

if so

There are two PA Devices as HA environment

suddenly, If one of them failed Disk without RAID 1

Active move other device?

If the disk fails it should failover to the other device.

Secondly it is recommended that both the devices have the same number of SSD's.
