PA220 Update - Cannot use management interface

L1 Bithead

Hello,

First question and first foray into Palo world from Cisco ASA and I'm stuck.

I am trying to update a couple of PA220's, we cannot use the management interface and therefore can only use an interface connected via DHCP  to our ISP.

I have got the interface getting a DHCP address (have set Ethernet 1/1 as Layer 3 interface), I created a zone (Untrusted_To_ISP) and assigned Ethernet1/1 to it.

However when I go into Service Routes there is no option to select that interface under "Customize", What am I doing wrong ?

Hello,

Have you committed (applied ASA speak) the configuration? Also are there security policies to allow the traffic?

Regards,

L3 Networker

You can update the below service route with int1/1 so that software updates will be done by using data plane port.

Also ensure below items were checked before upgrading the firewalls.

  1. You have valid licenses applied on firewalls and firewalls are registered in support portal.
  2. DNS servers are configured.
  3. Dynamic updates installed should be of latest version
