Palo Alto aws Deployment

L0 Member

Hello guys

I'm honestly a noob. I just set up a palo alto vm series bundle 2 on my aws with 3 interfacer.

eth 0/0 for management

eth 1/1 for the public subnet

eth 1/2 for the private subnet

I've been trying to set up a wordpress server on the private subnet and access it via the internet. I dont know if my aws configuration is wrong or my nat/security policy is configured wrongly

@jonathan_andrew,

You really haven't given us anything to help you if you aren't supplying the relevant security or nat rulebase entries.

What are your logs showing you when you attempt to access the resource. Are you seeing traffic hit your nat statement or your security rulebase entry, or is the firewall just not even seeing anything come across?

Sincerely apologies, I will detail it here @BPry

Firstly, I used this video as a 1:1 reference to deploy my firewall onto aws:  https://youtu.be/bMlidOn76Uo

License: Palo Also Bundle 2

VPC cidr: 10.10.0.0/16

Public subnet: 10.10.250.0/24

Private subnet: 10.10.10.0/23

Management-subnet: 10.10.12.0/25

Palo Alto instance:

(management NIC)eth 0/0:  10.10.12.20

(public NIC)eth 1/1: 10.10.250.81

(private NIC)eth 1/2: 10.10.10.221

public ip: 18.218.16.11

Wordpress instance:

eth 0/0: 10.10.10.193

public ip: 3.134.90.16

As of now, no NAT/Security policy is configured on the firewall as i am unsure how to do it. I need to be able to access the wordpress db. The only thing i configured is the dynamic dhcp and zones for eth1/1 and eth1/2. I will provide any other relevant informartion if needed. Im still a newbie when it comes to palo alto and aws
