Hi,
please let me know, if there is a way which can enable me to see the number of hit counts for a particular rule in PAN OS 4.0.4. If i know the rule hit count, i can optimize the rule database of our PA-500.
Best regards
Heiko

Hi,
you can create a custom report using traffic log DB, and show repeat count and rule name columns. Repeat count means how many times the policy hit has been seen.

This will only work for the top 500 results. I have been unable to find a way to show the bottom 500 (0 hitcount). You can use the "Highlight Unused Rule" in the policy tab, but I am also looking for rarely used and low count rules.
