Panorama - 6.0.1 Impressions? Stable? Worth the risk/trouble?

Hi Everyone,

   I have been reading the release notes... and Panorama 6.0.1 is looking really good.... but is it solid???

   Also, our firewalls are on PAN-OS 5.0.8 ... will Panorama 6.0.1 have any issues managing firewalls on 5.0.8?

Hello Art,

Yes, Panorama can manage devices running supported PAN-OS versions of the same or a lower release. It cannot manage firewalls running greater PAN-OS versions than itself (eg. 5.1.x Panorama cannot manage 6.0 boxes).

Can a Panorama running PAN-OS 6.0.2 be able to manage the firewall running PAN-OS 6.0.4. Only the Minor version difference?

Although it is not recommended to have panorama on a lower maintenance version than the firewalls, it will be able to manage firewalls with a higher maintenance version
