Can you have 7.1 and 8.x firewalls in the same device group? Any issues with commits.?

Generally I would say that with a larger gap like that you should be creating two different device groups. The only reason being that you can manage the one higher version group utilizing the features released in the new software version easily.

The recommendation would be that the device group is kept on the same software version.

That would be the end goal; however, we have multiple firewalls and there is a different schedule for each upgrade.

Basically, if we configured any 8.0 feature the commits would fail?
