Hello all! Im gonna upgrade Panorama + a bunch of vms from 10.1.0 to 10.2.x.
On the path up to 10.2.x, do i need to stop at 10.1.8 before upgrading to 10.2.x? Or can i just take a leap from 10.1 to 10.2?
Also, running Panorama at 10.2.2-h2 and vm's at 10.1.0, will that cause any issues? Or would that be problem free? I expect to
run like this for a week or two before getting all the vms up to 10.2.x.
Best regards,
M

Hi @149999mah3,
As you can see from Determine the Upgrade Path to PAN-OS 10.2 (paloaltonetworks.com) Palo Alto always recommend to upgrade to latest maintenance release before upgrading to the next major

Yes, i read it, but was hoping that someone has done this without doing the 10.1.8 step and everything went smooth.
Oh well, 10.1.8 it is.

Hey @149999mah3 ,
You better be safe than sorry 🙂 It is unlikely to face any issue even if you skip 10.1.8, but it is better to do it and nothing happen, rather you loose some part of your config and ask TAC for support later
