Panorama Commit Fail With Error: Duplicate Service group

L0 Member

Hi all,

I'm trying to Transition an existing Firewall to Panorama Management and I'm following this guide - https://www.paloaltonetworks.com/documentation/80/panorama/panorama_adminguide/manage-firewalls/tran...

when I perform step 6) Push the firewall configuration bundle to the firewall to remove all policy rules and objects from its local configuration, I got the Commit error in my firewall - Error: Duplicate service group 'MS-SQL'.

then I have manually deleted the mentioned service group and try again, the same error comes out with another service group 'net-metting' in the error.

Does anyone has idea or suggestion?

Thanks.

Commit failures only show the first error that is encountered.  So your next commit moves on to the next error.

You seem to be missing some duplicate objects from the audit in step 5.  Try reviewing that again to see if they are indeed listed.

If not, you know the type of object that is found duplicated in these errors so you could manually review the list in both the device an panorama to delete the duplicates enmasse.
